Where you invest your love is where you invest your life. If there was a game or activity, whether in Oklahoma or Texas, Duane and Frieda were there! He most enjoyed watching the sports and activities of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed OCU baseball and softball games, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family at their lake house on Grand Lake. He was inducted into three Hall of Fames: The Oklahoma Baseball Coaches HOF, the National Junior College HOF and the Rose State College HOF.ĭuane enjoyed a great life and career and an even better retirement. He was a charter member of the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association. In 1973 he accepted the job at Oscar Rose Junior College where he coached for 21 years and ended his College coaching career in 1994 with 507 wins.ĭuane was a member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association since 1959. During that time he achieved over 200 high school wins and coached the 1968 South All-State team to a win. He coached at Del City HS from 1964 to 1972. Duane started his coaching career at Webber Falls, OK in 1958, where he won a state championship in 1960. While at NEO he met and married the love of his life, Frieda Denney, enjoying 65 years of marriage. Upon discharge, Duane attended college on a GI Bill and obtained his Bachelor and Masters Degrees while also playing baseball for NEO in Miami, OK and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah respectively. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Shortly after, he proudly joined the U.S. He graduated from Adair High School in 1949. Duane Carroll Crabaugh was born on Decemto Loren and Anna Crabaugh in Adair, OK.
